Applications of the D-LOG One: 1) Introduction
Aktualisiert: 13. Sept. 2022
What is the future of drone missions? How can we make them more efficient, safer, faster and lower their costs? As we all know, expanded autonomy will be the key, as most professional drones require frequent and intensive human ground handling (for battery-swapping or refueling, payload exchange, data collecting, etc.), inducing costs and immobilization times that dramatically limit the impact they can have.
Dpendent’s vision is to enable ground handling to be truly unmanned and remote. Hence, we’ve created the D-LOG One station, an advanced robotized infrastructure ensuring continuous flight & availability for drones by swapping their batteries in less than a minute. But that still isn’t enough for each type of missions, up to the most demanding, complex and critical. That’s why our company has developed several options to cope with what they specifically require, like the option to make it mobile by mounting it on an UGV or naval ship, a sensor-swapping system for surveillance & inspection operations, a liquids & seeds refill system for agricultural spraying, or a package management system for delivery applications. Furthermore, our station’s interface will enable convenient remote communication with the drones from the command center.
In the coming weeks, we will explore in-depth what our solution can optimize, and how, in 5 verticals: Private & Public Security, Agriculture & Viticulture, Infrastructure Inspection (in Industry, Energy & Construction), Peacekeeping & Defense, Deliveries & Transports.
